Comforter Sets

Looking for comforter sets? Find the perfect bedding set for your bedroom. We have a huge selection of quilts, comforters and duvet covers to choose from.

Comforter sets are perfect for those who want to take the guesswork out of layering a bed.  As they are sold with coordinating pieces, it makes the bedroom design process much simpler.  As with duvet covers, they are usually easy to wash and can be hang dried or machine dried on a low and gentle setting.

A comforter is designed to be used as is without additional layers as they are made with a built-in cover.  They are sold according to bed size and are designed to be larger than the bed in order to cover the sides. Duvet covers typically are equal to the size of the bed, while comforters are larger. A comforter also rarely shifts making it lower in maintenance over duvet covers.

Comforters can feel less ‘fluffy’ than a duvet but they do provide minimal set up.

Browse through our extensive collection of luxury, designer, modern, rustic and country comforter sets. Our curated selection of comforters includes country manor bedding, modern rustic bedding sets in gorgeous earthtone colors, as well as luxury reversible comforters, plaid ensembles and southwestern style bedding.

The most popular in this selection is the Madison Park Chateau collection. This elegant bedding includes coordinating shams and decorative pillows.  It instantly brings sophisticated style to the bedroom. It has a rich and warm color palette, unique details and is the perfect finishing touch to a modern rustic bedroom. The set includes the comforter as well as two shams and three decorative pillows.

What do comforter sets include?

A standard comforter set generally includes a comforter and two decorative pillow shams.  Deluxe comforter sets can include additional decorative shams as well as a bedskirt and additional throw pillows.

What is the difference between a duvet cover and a comforter?

Both fluffy duvets and soft comforters can keep you warm and cozy at night.  Each option has its own benefits but have their pros and cons.  Some people prefer duvets and duvet covers and they provide a more modern look and are available in a wide variety of color and patterns.  They are also lightweight and their removeable cover means that they can be easily washed or easily replaced with a new duvet cover.

A comforter on the other hand is derived from the word “comfort.”  As with a duvet, a comforter is a quilt constructed from layers of material that are sewn together and filled with down, synthetic fibres or feathers.  Many people prefer comforters as they don’t require an additional cover and they are often part of a pre-coordinated ensemble.
